   Großartig! Die Regisseurin hält die Spannung bis zur letzten Szene. Absolut sehenswert!

   Translation

   Brilliant! The director keeps up the suspense until the very last scene. Absolutely worth seeing!

   Emil

   Spannung? Ich bin mittendrin eingeschlafen. Das Drehbuch war viel zu lang und ziemlich oberflächlich.

   Translation

   Suspense? I fell asleep right in the middle. The script was far too long and pretty shallow.

   Lotte

   Oberflächlich? Der Schauspieler in der Hauptrolle war total überzeugend!

   Translation

   Shallow? The actor in the lead role was totally convincing!

   Emil

   Mag sein. Aber das Ende mit dem Sonnenuntergang war kitschig.

   Translation

   Maybe. But the ending with the sunset was cheesy.

   Hang on, Emil - how do you know the ending if you were asleep?

   Für die letzten fünf Minuten bin ich aufgewacht. Mehr hätte ich auch nicht gebraucht.

   Translation

   I woke up for the last five minutes. I wouldn't have needed any more.

   Du bist unmöglich! Man hat einen wunderbaren Roman verfilmt und hier in Berlin gedreht. Ich verteidige diesen Film!

   Translation

   You're impossible! They made a wonderful novel into a film and shot it here in Berlin. I'm defending this film!

   Und ich bleibe bei meiner Meinung: Ein Dokumentarfilm über Spatzen wäre viel spannender gewesen.

   Translation

   And I'm sticking to my opinion: a documentary about sparrows would have been much more exciting.

    Dann schauen wir im Dezember die Fortsetzung - und Emil bekommt einen doppelten Espresso.
