   Hotline von FitFix, guten Tag!

   Translation

   FitFix hotline, good afternoon!

   Bruno

   Endlich! Vierzig Minuten in der Warteschleife! Ich möchte mein Abonnement kündigen.

   Translation

   Finally! Forty minutes on hold! I'd like to cancel my subscription.

3. Hotline Agent

   Schade. Darf ich fragen, warum?

   Translation

   That's a pity. May I ask why?

   Bruno

   Nach dem Probemonat wurde die App kostenpflichtig, und seitdem kommt jeden Monat eine Lastschrift - für nichts.

   Translation

   After the free trial the app started charging, and since then there's been a direct debit every month - for nothing.

5. Hotline Agent

   Leider gilt eine Kündigungsfrist von drei Monaten, sonst verlängert sich der Vertrag.

   Translation

   Unfortunately there's a three-month notice period, otherwise the contract is extended.

   Bruno

   Drei Monate? Das ist unverschämt!

   Translation

   Three months? That's outrageous!

7. Hotline Agent

   So ist es im Vertrag geregelt. Außerdem müsste die Kündigung schriftlich sein.

   Translation

   That's how it's set out in the contract. Besides, the cancellation would have to be in writing.

   Bruno

   Meine Nachbarin sagt, das sei rechtlich nicht in Ordnung. Als Verbraucher kann ich nach dem ersten Jahr mit einem Monat Frist kündigen - auch online.

   Translation

   My neighbour says that isn't legally right. As a consumer I can cancel with one month's notice after the first year - online, too.

   Einen Moment … Sie haben recht. Die Kündigung ist fristgerecht, Sie bekommen gleich eine Bestätigung.

   Translation

   One moment … You're right. The cancellation is within the deadline, you'll get a confirmation shortly.

    Danke. Und aus Kulanz? Ein ganzes Jahr habe ich für nichts bezahlt.

    Translation

    Thank you. And as a goodwill gesture? I've paid for nothing for a whole year.

    Aus Kulanz erstatten wir Ihnen einen Monat.

    Translation

    As a goodwill gesture, we'll refund you one month.

    Abgemacht. Und wenn trotzdem eine Mahnung kommt, beanstande ich sie schriftlich!

    Translation

    Deal. And if a payment reminder comes anyway, I'll object to it in writing!
