   Otti, du bist ja ganz blass! Bist du nervös?

   Otti, you're really pale! Are you nervous?

   Otti

   Sehr! Zum ersten Mal im Leben habe ich schlecht geschlafen, und jetzt zweifle ich an allem.

   Translation

   Very! For the first time in my life I slept badly, and now I doubt everything.

   Emil

   Unsinn! Du hast so viel gelernt. Ein bisschen Mut, und die Prüfung gelingt dir bestimmt.

   Translation

   Nonsense! You've studied so much. A little courage, and the exam is bound to go well.

   Lotte

   Genau. Wir warten hier draußen und drücken dir die Daumen.

   Translation

   Exactly. We'll wait out here and keep our fingers crossed for you.

   Otti

   Danke. Wenn ich nur so mutig wäre wie ihr …

   Translation

   Thanks. If only I were as brave as you…

   Er ist schon seit drei Stunden da drin! Ich bin so ungeduldig, ich halte das nicht mehr aus.

   Translation

   He's been in there for three hours already! I'm so impatient, I can't stand it any more.

   Da kommt er! Otti, wie war es? Wir sind so gespannt!
