   Ich habe den Fahrplan genau gelesen. Die Abfahrt ist um 8.12 Uhr von Gleis 5, die Ankunft an der Ostsee um 11 Uhr.

   Translation

   I've read the timetable carefully. Departure is at 8.12 from platform 5, arrival at the Baltic at 11.

   Emil

   Super! Ist das eine direkte Verbindung?

   Translation

   Great! Is it a direct connection?

3. 

   Lotte

   Nein, wir steigen einmal um. Aber für den Anschluss haben wir zehn Minuten.

   Translation

   No, we change once. But we have ten minutes for the connection.

   Otti

   Hört mal, die Durchsage: Unser Zug hat zwanzig Minuten Verspätung!

   Translation

   Listen, the announcement: our train is twenty minutes late!

   Emil

   Was? Dann verpassen wir den Anschluss! Ich hasse Warten.

   Translation

   What? Then we'll miss the connection! I hate waiting.

   Lotte

   Keine Panik. Ich schaue in der App nach … Den nächsten Zug erreichen wir sicher, er fährt eine Stunde später.

   Translation

   Don't panic. I'll check the app … We'll definitely catch the next train, it leaves an hour later.

   Und wenn der auch ausfällt?

   Translation

   And what if that one's cancelled too?

   Lotte

   Dann nehmen wir den Bus. Ich habe immer einen Plan B!

   Translation

   Then we'll take the bus. I always have a plan B!

   Und die Rückfahrt? Ist der Zug wenigstens am Sonntag pünktlich?

   Translation

   And the return journey? Will the train at least be on time on Sunday?

    Das weiß niemand. Aber wir haben Tickets hin und zurück, mit Ermäßigung.

    Translation

    Nobody knows. But we have return tickets, with a discount.

    Da kommt ja unser Zug! Schnell zum Bahnsteig!

    Translation

    Look, here comes our train! Quick, to the platform!

    Endlich! Die Ostsee wartet auf uns.

    At last! The Baltic is waiting for us.
