   Emil

   Frida! Ich will keinen Streit. Bist du noch beleidigt?

   Translation

   Frida! I don't want an argument. Are you still in a huff?

2. 

   Frida

   Beleidigt? Ich bin gekränkt, Emil. Alle waren auf meiner Party, nur mein bester Freund nicht.

   Translation

   In a huff? I'm hurt, Emil. Everyone was at my party except my best friend.

   Emil

   Stimmt. Ich hatte so viele Lieferungen, dass ich alles vergessen habe.

   Translation

   True. I had so many deliveries that I forgot everything.

4. 

   Frida

   Du hast nicht einmal angerufen. Das hat mich wirklich enttäuscht.

   Translation

   You didn't even call. That really disappointed me.

   Emil

   Ehrlich gesagt dachte ich, die Party ist erst am Samstag. Das war ein dummes Missverständnis.

   Translation

   To be honest, I thought the party wasn't until Saturday. It was a silly misunderstanding.

   Frida

   Am Samstag? Ich habe es dir dreimal geschrieben! Du hörst nie zu, wenn du es eilig hast.

   Translation

   On Saturday? I wrote it to you three times! You never listen when you're in a hurry.

   Emil

   Da hast du Recht. Wirf mir ruhig vor, dass ich immer zu schnell bin - es stimmt ja.

   Translation

   You're right there. Go ahead and blame me for always being too fast - it's true.

   Frida

   Das ist kein Vorwurf, Emil. Aber ohne Vertrauen gibt es keine Freundschaft.

   Translation

   That's not a reproach, Emil. But without trust there's no friendship.

   Emil

   Du kannst mir vertrauen! Unsere Freundschaft ist mir wichtiger als jede Lieferung. Ich bin ein treuer Spatz, wirklich.

   Translation

   You can trust me! Our friendship matters more to me than any delivery. I'm a loyal sparrow, really.

    Frida

    Hm. Ich hätte einen Kompromiss: Ich verzeihe dir, und du feierst morgen mit mir nach.

    Translation

    Hm. I've got a compromise: I forgive you, and tomorrow you celebrate with me, a day late.

    Emil

    Abgemacht! Danke für dein Verständnis. Und ich komme sogar pünktlich!

    Translation

    Deal! Thanks for understanding. And I'll even be on time!

12. 

    Frida

    Dann sind wir versöhnt. Aber diesmal vergisst du es nicht!

    Translation

    Then we've made up. But this time don't you forget!
