   Na, Bruno, Woche zwei! Wie klappt es mit der veganen Ernährung?

   Translation

   So, Bruno, week two! How's the vegan diet going?

   Bruno

   Ehrlich gesagt? Der Verzicht auf Fleisch ist härter als gedacht. Ich träume schon von Würstchen.

   Translation

   To be honest? Giving up meat is harder than I thought. I'm already dreaming of sausages.

   Lotte

   Denk an den Tierschutz! Und je weniger tierische Produkte wir essen, desto besser ist es fürs Klima.

   Translation

   Think of animal welfare! And the fewer animal products we eat, the better it is for the climate.

   Bruno

   Ja, ja. Aber was ist mit Eiweiß? Ohne Fleisch und Milchprodukte fehlen mir doch wichtige Nährstoffe.

   Translation

   Yes, yes. But what about protein? Without meat and dairy products I'm missing important nutrients.

   Nicht, wenn du sie ersetzt. Hülsenfrüchte wie Linsen sind sehr nahrhaft, und Tofu aus Soja hat auch viel Eiweiß.

   Not if you replace them. Pulses like lentils are very nutritious, and tofu made from soya has plenty of protein too.

   Tofu? Als Ersatz für Würstchen ist der eine Frechheit. Er schmeckt nach nichts!

   Translation

   Tofu? As a substitute for sausages it's an insult. It tastes of nothing!

   Dann probier heute Abend mein Linsencurry - rein pflanzlich und erstaunlich sättigend.

   Translation

   Then try my lentil curry tonight - completely plant-based and surprisingly filling.

   Na gut. Aber ein bisschen Käse darf ich doch drüberstreuen, oder?

   Translation

   All right. But I can sprinkle a bit of cheese on top, can't I?

   Käse ist ein Milchprodukt, Bruno! Wenn es gar nicht geht, isst du eben ab morgen vegetarisch.

   Translation

   Cheese is a dairy product, Bruno! If you really can't manage, then just eat vegetarian from tomorrow.

    Nein, ich halte durch! Ich stelle mich einfach um. Aber am Tag danach gibt es drei Würstchen.
