   Frida

   Lagebesprechung, Leute! In drei Wochen ist unser Spendenlauf, und für so eine Veranstaltung haben wir erst einen Sponsor.

   Translation

   Briefing, everyone! Our charity run is in three weeks, and for an event like that we only have one sponsor so far.

2. 

   Emil

   Zwei! Der Fahrradladen in Kaulsdorf sponsert jetzt auch, heute früh zugesagt. Ich muss gleich weiter!

   Translation

   Two! The bike shop in Kaulsdorf is sponsoring us now too, they said yes this morning. I've got to dash!

3. 

   Bruno

   Und die Buchhändlerin vom Markt will als Sponsorin für jeden gelaufenen Kilometer einen Euro geben.

   Translation

   And the bookseller from the market wants to give a euro for every kilometre run, as a sponsor.

   Frida

   Super. Mit dem Startgeld und den Spenden kämen wir dann vielleicht auf zweitausend Euro für die Kinderbibliothek.

   Translation

   Great. With the entry fees and the donations we might then reach two thousand euros for the children's library.

   Emil

   Zu wenig! Wir müssen den ganzen Kiez mobilisieren. Ich hänge morgen einen Aufruf an jede Haustür.

   Translation

   Not enough! We need to rally the whole neighbourhood. Tomorrow I'll put up an appeal on every front door.

6. 

   Bruno

   Und wer kümmert sich um die Logistik? Wasser, Bananen, Absperrband - das wandert nicht von allein an den See.

   Translation

   And who's handling the logistics? Water, bananas, barrier tape - it won't walk to the lake by itself.

   Frida

   Du, Bruno, wer sonst - du organisierst doch am liebsten alles, was mit Essen zu tun hat. Außerdem brauchen wir zehn Helferinnen und Helfer an der Strecke.

   Translation

   You, Bruno, who else - you love organising anything to do with food. We also need ten helpers along the route.

   Emil

   Kein Problem! Der Lauf ist ja gemeinnützig, da machen die Leute gern ehrenamtlich mit.

   Translation

   No problem! The run is for a good cause, so people are happy to volunteer.

   Bruno

   Hoffentlich kommen auch genug Läuferinnen und Läufer. Ein wohltätiger Lauf ohne Teilnehmende wäre eher traurig.

   Translation

   Hopefully enough runners will turn up too. A charity run without any participants would be rather sad.

    Frida

    Keine Sorge, ich setze alle Hebel in Bewegung. Aus dem Sportverein haben sich schon vierzig angemeldet.

    Translation

    Don't worry, I'm pulling out all the stops. Forty people from the sports club have already signed up.

    Emil

    Und nach dem Lauf verkünden wir den Erlös und danken allen, die mitgeholfen haben. Mit Musik!

    Translation

    And after the run we'll announce the proceeds and thank everyone who helped. With music!

    Bruno

    Und mit Kuchen. Wohltätigkeit geht schließlich durch den Magen.

    Translation

    And with cake. After all, the way to charity is through the stomach.
