   Translation

   An artificial intelligence is generating your birthday wishes? Hmm …

   In drei Sekunden! Was für ein Fortschritt!

   Translation

   In three seconds! What progress!

   Lotte

   Lies mal kritisch. Da steht, Frau Hilde liebe schnelle Autos.

   Translation

   Read it critically. It says Frau Hilde loves fast cars.

   Oh. Das hat der Algorithmus einfach erfunden?

   Translation

   Oh. The algorithm just made that up?

   Lotte

   Solche Anwendungen wirken intelligent, aber sie irren sich. Das ist die Gefahr.

   Translation

   Applications like that seem intelligent, but they get things wrong. That's the danger.

   Und wer ist dann verantwortlich? Die Maschine oder die Leute, die sie programmiert und entwickelt haben?

   Translation

   And who's responsible then? The machine, or the people who programmed and developed it?

   Eine ethische Frage! Für mich bleibt die Verantwortung beim Menschen, nicht beim Computer.

   Translation

   An ethical question! For me the responsibility stays with people, not with the computer.

   Die Entwicklung hat aber auch Vorteile: Langweilige Arbeit kann man automatisieren.

   Translation

   But the development has advantages too: you can automate boring work.

    Sicher. Der Nachteil: Der Karte fehlt jetzt das Menschliche. Frau Hilde freut sich mehr über deine eigene Kreativität.

    Translation

    Sure. The drawback: the card now lacks the human touch. Frau Hilde will be happier with your own creativity.
