   Emil! Du bist jetzt selbstständig?

   Translation

   Emil! You're self-employed now?

   Emil

   Ja! Ich gründe meinen eigenen Kurierdienst. Nie wieder für eine App fahren!

   Translation

   Yes! I'm setting up my own courier service. Never riding for an app again!

   Bruno

   Glückwunsch zur Gründung! Aber ist das nicht riskant? Hast du schon Aufträge?

   Translation

   Congratulations on starting up! But isn't it risky? Do you have any orders yet?

   Emil

   Drei Läden sind schon meine Kundschaft, und ich werbe mit einem großen Schild am Rad.

   Translation

   Three shops are already my customers, and I advertise with a big sign on my bike.

   Bruno

   Und die Buchhaltung? Jede Einnahme und jede Ausgabe muss notiert werden.

   Translation

   And the bookkeeping? Every bit of income and every expense has to be written down.

   Klar. Am Monatsende rechne ich mit jedem Auftraggeber ab - das erste Honorar ist schon da!

   Translation

   Sure. At the end of the month I invoice every client - the first fee has already come in!

   Und wenn du krank bist? Als Freiberufler verdienst du dann nichts.

   Translation

   And if you're ill? As a freelancer you don't earn anything then.

   Das ist das Risiko. Dafür arbeite ich jetzt eigenverantwortlich. Diese Freiheit ist mir viel wert.

   Translation

   That's the risk. In return I now work on my own responsibility. That freedom is worth a lot to me.

   Kenne ich vom Imbiss. Trotzdem würde ich nie mehr tauschen.

   Translation

   I know that from my food stall. Even so, I'd never swap back.

    Siehst du! Ein kleines Unternehmen, aber ich stehe endlich auf eigenen Beinen.

    Translation

    See! A small business, but at last I'm standing on my own two feet.

    Dann bin ich dein nächster Kunde. Das Honorar zahle ich aber in Currywurst!

    Translation

    Then I'll be your next customer. But I'll pay the fee in currywurst!
