   Hallo Otti! Endlich bin ich zu Besuch in der Hauptstadt!

   Translation

   Hi Otti! At last I'm visiting the capital!

   Willkommen in Berlin! Heute zeige ich dir die bekanntesten Orte der Stadt.

   Translation

   Welcome to Berlin! Today I'll show you the best-known places in the city.

   Super! Wie viele Einwohner hat Berlin eigentlich?

   Translation

   Great! How many inhabitants does Berlin actually have?

   Otti

   Fast vier Millionen, in zwölf Bezirken. Ich wohne in Prenzlauer Berg, nicht weit vom Zentrum.

   Translation

   Almost four million, in twelve districts. I live in Prenzlauer Berg, not far from the centre.

   Was ist das für ein hoher Turm?

   Translation

   What's that tall tower?

   Otti

   Das ist der Fernsehturm, er ist bei Touristen sehr beliebt. Und hier ist der Dom, über hundert Jahre alt.

   Translation

   That's the TV tower, it's very popular with tourists. And here's the cathedral, more than a hundred years old.

   Und wo war die Mauer?

   Translation

   And where was the Wall?

   Mitten in der Stadt. An der Bernauer Straße kann man ein historisches Stück mit einem Denkmal besichtigen.

   Translation

   Right through the middle of the city. On Bernauer Straße you can see a historic section with a memorial.

   Translation

   That's fascinating! Is there a palace here too?

    Ja, Schloss Charlottenburg, bei Lotte. Das sehen wir morgen bei einer Stadtführung.

    Translation

    Yes, Charlottenburg Palace, near Lotte's. We'll see it tomorrow on a city tour.

    Berlin hat so viel Kultur! Bei uns auf dem Land gibt es nur Felder.

    Translation

    Berlin has so much culture! Back home in the countryside there are only fields.
