   Guten Morgen, willkommen in unserer Filiale!

   Translation

   Good morning, welcome to our branch!

   Emil

   Morgen! Der Geldautomat draußen hat meine Bankkarte behalten. Ich habe dreimal die falsche Geheimzahl eingetippt.

   Translation

   Morning! The cash machine outside has kept my bank card. I typed in the wrong PIN three times.

3. Bank clerk

   Oje. Wie ist das denn passiert?

   Translation

   Oh dear. How did that happen?

   Emil

   Ich habe dabei telefoniert, mit dem Kopf war ich ganz woanders.

   Translation

   I was on the phone at the same time, my mind was somewhere else entirely.

5. Bank clerk

   Das passiert öfter, als man denkt. Nach drei Fehlversuchen wird die Bankkarte automatisch gesperrt.

   Translation

   That happens more often than you'd think. After three failed attempts the bank card is blocked automatically.

   Emil

   Und jetzt? Morgen wird die Miete von meinem Girokonto abgebucht!

   Translation

   And now what? Tomorrow the rent is taken from my current account!

   Keine Sorge, der Dauerauftrag läuft trotzdem. Ihren Ausweis, bitte, dann entsperre ich die Karte.

   Translation

   Don't worry, the standing order goes through anyway. Your ID, please, and I'll unblock the card.

   Emil

   Hier, bitte. Und welcher Betrag ist noch auf meinem Konto? Ich hätte gern einen Kontoauszug.

   Translation

   Here you are. And how much is left in my account? I'd like a bank statement.

9. Bank clerk

   Sie haben noch 312 Euro. Gestern wurden 200 Euro eingezahlt.

   Translation

   You still have 312 euros. 200 euros were paid in yesterday.

    Emil

    Puh, zum Glück! Ich dachte schon, ich hätte Schulden gemacht.

    Translation

    Phew, thank goodness! I already thought I'd run up debts.

    Nein, finanziell ist alles in Ordnung. Hier ist Ihre Karte - und nächstes Mal erst auflegen, dann die Geheimzahl eintippen!

    Translation

    No, financially everything is fine. Here's your card - and next time hang up first, then type in your PIN!
