Possessive articles: mein, dein, unser

Mein, dein, sein and the others say whose something is. They take the same endings as ein: mein Bruder, meine Schwester, meinen Bruder.

One word for each person

Every person has its own word: ich → mein, du → dein, er → sein, sie → ihr, es → sein, wir → unser, ihr → euer, sie → ihr, Sie → Ihr.

The word depends on the owner: Otti → sein Rucksack, Frida → ihr Rucksack. Watch out for ihr: it can belong to sie (she) or to sie (they). With a capital letter, Ihr belongs to Sie.

Endings like ein

The possessive takes the same endings as ein. The ending depends on the thing, not on the owner: mein Bruder, meine Schwester, mein Kind, meine Eltern.

In the accusative only masculine words change, just like einen: Ich besuche meinen Bruder. The plural looks like the feminine: meine Eltern.

unser and euer

unser and euer take the same endings: unsere Wohnung, unseren Hund.

In euer the e before r drops out as soon as an ending comes: euer Garten, but eure Stadt and euren Garten.
