   Kalle

   Willkommen in Lübars, Otti! Hier auf dem Bauernhof helfe ich jeden Samstag.

   Translation

   Welcome to Lübars, Otti! I help out here on the farm every Saturday.

   Otti

   So viele Tiere! Pferde, Kühe, Schafe … und da hinten ein Schwein! Ist das dein Cousin?

   Translation

   So many animals! Horses, cows, sheep … and a pig back there! Is that your cousin?

   Kalle

   Haha, nein, das ist kein Wildschwein! Komm, wir füttern zuerst die Hühner.

   Translation

   Ha ha, no, that's not a wild boar! Come on, we'll feed the chickens first.

4. Farmer

   Guten Morgen, ihr zwei! Danke für die Hilfe. Die Kühe sind heute auf der Wiese und fressen Gras.

   Translation

   Good morning, you two! Thanks for the help. The cows are out in the meadow today, eating grass.

   Otti

   Guten Morgen! Darf ich das Pferd streicheln?

   Translation

   Good morning! May I stroke the horse?

6. Farmer

   Ja, aber vorsichtig. Geh immer von vorne zu ihm, nie von hinten. Das ist gefährlich.

   Translation

   Yes, but carefully. Always approach it from the front, never from behind. That's dangerous.

   Otti

   Es ist so weich! Kann man auf ihm auch reiten?

   Translation

   It's so soft! Can you ride it too?

   Kalle

   Klar, nach der Arbeit. Aber zuerst bringen wir das Heu in den Stall.

   Translation

   Sure, after work. But first we'll take the hay into the barn.

   Otti

   Und was machen wir danach?

   Translation

   And what do we do after that?

10. Farmer

    Dann gießt ihr die Blumen im Garten und erntet die Kartoffeln.

    Translation

    Then you water the flowers in the garden and harvest the potatoes.

    Otti

    Puh, das ist viel Arbeit! Ich möchte lieber ein Haustier, eine kleine Katze.

    Translation

    Phew, that's a lot of work! I'd rather have a pet, a little cat.

    Eine Katze ist auch Arbeit, Otti: Futter, Wasser und manchmal der Tierarzt!

    Translation

    A cat is work too, Otti: food, water and sometimes the vet!
